This position is for a full-time licensed therapist who will provide mental health counseling in a school-based setting through The Enrichment Center.
This is a school-year position and counseling will be provided during the school day.
Enrichment Center employees are 12-month employees but will follow the school year calendar for the district where they work (i.
e.
all school holidays will also be Enrichment Center holidays).
Position requires a desire to work with children and adolescents and utilization of age appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Effective and consistent communication with parents, school guidance counselors, school administrators, and teachers is an essential part of the treatment process and is a requirement for this position.
Consistent documentation, treatment planning, data recording, and case review are mandatory components of this position.
Training and guidance will be provided on a regular basis.
Enrichment Center team members participate in occasional community mental health presentations throughout the school year and attend Enrichment Center fundraising events.
Team members will be required to commit their time to these activities outside of school hours at least four times per year.
The approximate start-date for this position is January 3, 2024.
The open position will support Lawrence County Schools.
Exact start date and school locations will be determined after the interview process.
Licensure is not required for hire, but must be obtained within six months of hire date.
Starting salary: $40,000

*JOB DESCRIPTION: School-based Mental Health Therapist*
An Enrichment Center Therapist is someone who:
* Holds a license to provide mental health services to individuals, groups, and families
* Has a master’s degree in a mental health related field
* Is an individual who upholds The Enrichment Center mission and vision while working in a school-based setting
* Understands the importance of eliminating barriers to mental health services for children and adolescents
An Enrichment Center (EC) Therapist will:
* Coordinate with the school point of contact to schedule dates, times, & locations of EC services as well as communicate scope & limitations of the program
* Coordinate & manage the referral process with school officials (teacher, counselor, principal, SRO, etc.
)
* Maintain accurate records for each student enrolled in the program, including administrative forms, progress notes, Pre- & Post- assessment forms, behavioral measures, interventions, & other documentation
* Provide assessments & develop an individualized treatment plan for each student
* Provide classroom observations/ evaluations and individualized classroom behavioral plans as needed
* Provide individual and/or group therapy as needed for students enrolled in the program
* Complete Pre- and Post- assessment data on each individual
* Be responsible for maintaining Enrichment Center supplies and inventory
* Report to EC Clinical Director through written reports which will include weekly documentation reports
* Serve as a community advocate for the EC program and seek opportunities to better implement and/or expand the program services
* Attend annual Enrichment Center and school events, including but not limited to: EC fundraising events, school open houses, mental health seminars, PTO/PTA meetings & fairs, etc.
