Job Summary: responsible for the full cycle recruitment of plant positions within Tupelo.
Conduct on-boarding training.
Track and conduct legislative required training and on-the-job training specifically related to Environmental Health & Safety compliance.
Required Education and Experience: University degree and/or College Diploma majoring in Human Resources management with completion and/or in the process of obtaining CHRP Certification Minimum 3 years of recruitment experience in technical, non-technical, plant hourly and Supervisory positions within a manufacturing industry Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written) Strong Coordination and organizational skills, Excellent presentation and speaking skills Excellent record keeping skills Good working Knowledge of Human Resources best practices, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act and applicable laws High degree of confidentiality is required in order to be successful in this role Excellent attendance Ability to work efficiently with minimum or no supervision Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player Flexibility to work extra hours as required and occasional alternative hours, if necessary to meet customer and employee relation and training schedules as required Ability to maintain records in a confidential, organized, tidy and detailed manner Support Quality System, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee and co-workers placed in an unsafe condition Essential Functions: Recruitment: Source candidates for skilled and plant-floor positions to support our operations through various sources such as Martinrea job board, Prevue, LinkedIn, social networking and direct recruiting Sort and maintain resumes bank as current as possible and actively direct sourcing for potential candidates for immediate and future needs based on business cycles and manpower budgets as per direction from the HR Manager Screen resumes and conduct phone interviews to pre-qualify candidates based on job description and hiring plan Select and contact qualified candidates for in-person interview with the departmental Supervisors/ Managers and the HR Manager once the initial screening meets the criteria Issuance of new hire documentation as per Company policy and ensuring all approvals are obtained prior to start date Training and Records Keeping: Responsible for on-boarding training process including set up of new employee files with all required Company and legal documentation Conduct policies and procedures training related to Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements Coordinate internal & external training and administration of all legal and legislative required training before their licenses expire.

General and Other Duties: Responsible to manage all temp agency employees based on business needs and budget approved by the HR Manager.
Tasks include orientation training, track of attendance, cancellation, addition and coordination of scheduling with operations team and the temp agencies.
Support H&S with tracking of SDS on an on-going basis Track all pre-shift FL checks, escalate incomplete and/or safety related issues to the H&S Coordinator and/or the HR Manager Long term Cross train on key tasks in H&S as part of the succession planning process Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook Contribute to continuous improvement process, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping Working Environment: Both office setting and production environment 80% office, 20% plant floor (PPE required) Flexible hours as required Physical Demands: Require communication with employees, peers and management Lifting and pushing as needed Ability to work on computer for long periods of time Health, Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, plant rules, policies and procedures Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
