Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Super Sagless Hardware branch in Tupelo, MS, which specializes in producing mechanisms for motion furniture such as recliners and rockers.
As an Technician, you will undertake a variety of tasks relating to installing and maintaining electrical infrastructure.
Your job will involve electrical circuits, panels, PLC’s, drives, and mechanical equipment.
You will assist the company to maintain a productive work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
Performs major electrical repairs & wiring as well as mechanical repairs or adjustments as required.
Makes necessary major and complex plant and/or equipment electrical repairs, circuit calculations, layouts and wiring that is necessary, including DC circuits, drives, etc.
Installs and repairs industrial electronic equipment (including input/output networks, data highways, variable speed drives and process control equipment) and write PLC programs for a wide variety of automated control systems, ranging from simple on-off controls to robotics.
Performs troubleshooting and problem solving
Performs necessary wiring for equipment installation or repairs
Performs routine inspection of all plant equipment, electrical wiring to ensure safety.
Reads complex SCR controls, solid state and PC circuits and drawings.
Replaces or makes necessary changes in wiring.
Maintains and services electrical motors and generators as required.
Completes required PM checks.
Assists Maintenance Technicians in plant maintenance projects as required.
Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
High School Diploma or GED
Basic understanding of general maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, program logic controls and robotic systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Two-year associate degree or equivalent combined education and experience
2‐3 years’ experience in a fast-paced assembly manufacturing environment
