Mission:
Quantum is seeking Sr.
System Network Administrator to support the Tupelo, MS office.
This position will be involved in both remote and on-site troubleshooting and support of complex Data Center solutions.
Ideal System Network Administrator is responsible for configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting all network infrastructure systems and equipment.
Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
Additionally, works on projects as a team member or individual and functions independently or under direction of senior management.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing existing networks and equipment and identifying opportunities for improvement and solutions that meet business requirements.
Analyzing existing system administration, networks and equipment and identifying opportunities for improvement and solutions that meet business requirements Maintain Cisco environment, including LAN, WAN, and Wireless Environments.
Participates in the installation of network systems and equipment for new facilities and expansions.
Decommissions equipment at facilities that are closing, including all hardware, cabling and circuits.
Tests, debugs and analyzes performance, and documents infrastructure components.
Complies with network infrastructure installation procedures to ensure successful integration of systems hardware/software.
Monitors and analyzes network and provides results on a regular basis.
Recommends corrective action to improve data network; travels to off-site locations to perform related work.
Responds to emergency situations and can perform effective troubleshooting during production outages
May assist in guiding, training, instructing and assisting others at peer or lower levels on straightforward technical issues.
Make recommendations of network and documentation changes.
Ensures compliance with Quantum's policies & procedures, safety, state and federal laws, regulations and standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
BS degree preferred in Computer Science/ IT, MIS, Systems Administration, Engineering or equivalent field of study with 10 years of experience within a Cisco environment.
Note: In lieu of degree 4 years plus experience preferred to include certifications may be accepted for with experience in following areas:
Experience with implementing CISCO routers/switches.
Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls
Experience implementing and supporting load balancing solutions desired.
Experience with implementing and supporting OSPF, BGP, HSRP and other protocols.
Experience designing, integrating and supporting wide area networks with multiple remote locations.
Experience with the Risk Management Framework
Knowledge /experience: Active Directory, Linux ,server monitoring and MS 365 system administration functions
CompTIA Security+
Ability to acquire and maintain a DOD security clearance
Certification preferred:
Applicable Certifications include any of the following: A+, Security+, Net+, Linux+, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP
