Job Summary: Communicate and direct daily material movement including Casthouse charge design, raw materials and scheduling of personnel within the Raw Materials Team.
Provide metal balance for all scrap and materials required to maximize production equipment.
Communicate the day-to-day requirements needed to satisfy customer orders to Casting, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Reclamation Operations.
Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining and establishing inventory levels for all materials in Alloys Cast House.
Conduct monthly and annual physical inventories of scrap and raw materials in Alloys Cast House.
Manage and maintain ingot inventory within Casthouse and outside property.
Schedule and coordinate deliveries of raw materials needed for Ingot production in Alloys Cast House.
Schedule and coordinate shipments of dross to outside processor(s) in Alloys Cast House.
Assist Raw Material Employees with inspection upon delivery of any outside purchased raw materials in Alloys Cast House.
Assist Purchasing Department in resolving any issues with suppliers.
Responsible for WRB external shipments to customers and scrap segregation.
Assist with the development of the monthly metal purchase plan.
Audit all departments’ scrap segregation processes for compliance with established standards.
Coordinate transportation of inter-department scrap between E13 and Alloys Cast House as required.
Track scrap coils within the plant to make sure they are getting to their destination in a timely fashion.
Advise Alloys Casting Management of all issues negatively impacting the flow of raw material.
Receive, identify, and confirm the purchase of all incoming material prior to release to the Raw Material Department for unloading.
Assist Purchasing Department in resolving any issues with suppliers.
Communicate with operations daily charge design for melters in Casting.
Responsible for own safety and environmental behavior.
Ensure that proper work procedures and practices are followed and take necessary steps to prevent incidents in areas.
Responsible for management of raw materials storage and preheating of raw materials.
Responsibilities include weekly scheduling of shift personal and adherence to policy for all shift employees.
Other tasks assigned as necessary.
Qualifications BS Degree in Business Administration, Business Management or Engineering desired Experience desired in the metals industry, specifically in raw material, supply chain, metallurgy and management.
Aluminum experience a plus.
3-5 years exposure to heavy metals manufacturing required.
Advanced computer skills required with a focus in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
