2nd Shift - 3pm to 11pm
HEXPOL, the largest custom rubber compounder in North America, is looking for a Multi-Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician for their Muscle Shoals, AL facility.
This opportunity is a full-time, second shift position, including a comprehensive hourly wage and benefits package.
Job Summary:
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment necessary to meet production requirements in a Custom Mix Rubber Manufacturing facility.
This includes, but is not limited to, the following equipment:
Mixers
Extruders
Calenders
Rubber Mills
Conveyors (Belt, Festoon, Auger, and fluidizing)
Dust Collectors and Air Handling Equipment
Air Compressors and Air Dryers
Lake Pumps and Chillers
Lifting Devices (Chain Hoists – Electric and Manual)
Lift Trucks
Candidates will be required to safely perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Tasks designed to prevent production downtime, as well as troubleshoot and repair equipment should a breakdown occur.
This requires a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power systems.
Principal Responsibilities:
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Work productively as part of a team.
Perform all assigned preventive/predictive maintenance activities in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment should a breakdown occur.
Document activity using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (eMaint).
Support of all equipment necessary to meet production requirements for the assigned shift.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Key Competencies/Abilities:
Troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate a positive attitude.
Ability to process work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ability to work Weekends and Overtime as required.
Ability to appropriately conduct maintenance in a high stress manufacturing environment.
(Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC’s and Rockwell Software RSLogix a plus)
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.

D
2 years of Maintenance experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment OR military experience in a technical field OR a Degree/Certificate in a related field.
The ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions.
Basic computer skills required (i.
e.
Microsoft Office, email), including knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.
e.
eMaint or Maximo)
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job such as lifting and moving up to 50lbs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting or kneeling or climbing stairs or ladders.
Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
