General Laborer

Location: Russellville Quarry - 591 (Mt.
Hope, AL) Summary: Laborer will perform plant maintenance, equipment operation, grounds, and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain plant sites, buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Operate and maintain equipment.
Ensure production work is accurate, timely and consistent with work instructions/procedures.
Complete preventive maintenance tasks of manufacturing equipment.
Operate forklift to transport manufactured items from production areas to warehouse as well as load and unload trucks in shipping areas as needed.
Work on production line as required in manufacturing and packaging areas of facility.
Possess ability to operate all plant production equipment.
Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
Qualifications: Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
Ability to work in a variety of roles.
Communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic tool knowledge.
Forklift preferred but not required.
Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
Must be able to work in dusty and noisy environments.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at times.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
