What is the Job? We are seeking to add a Manager, Supply Chain & Logistics to our team in our Lexington Production Plant.
This role you will be responsible for supervising employees engaged in material activities such as shipping & receiving, moving & storing and presentation of production and indirect materials for Gas Assembly, Fabrication and Diesel Upfit departments.
Some of your core responsibilities will include: • Responsible for warehouse and logistics operations; inventory accuracy, efficient organization, process flow, cleanliness, and storage • Supervise and manage material activities that support production and shipping schedules for gas engine product assembly and fabrication departments, as well as the diesel engine upfit department to include (but not limited to) receiving, warehousing, distribution, and order fulfillment • Supervise employees; including specific work assignments, employee training, approval of absences or overtime, participation in selection of new employees; new employee orientation, employee appraisals, and coaching as appropriate.
• Participate in global communication meetings to help address and resolve supply and logistic issues related to imported diesel engines.
• Ensure that employees understand and follow safety procedures and other company polices.
Solicit employee input regarding procedures, methods, tooling, and continuous improvement • Coordinate with other departments to assist in the assessment of raw and finished materials ensuring quality and implementing solutions when needed Who are you? The candidate we’re looking for should be able to listen effectively, give instructions clearly and accurately, actively seek feedback non-defensively.
In addition, excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary as is the need for fluency in speaking and writing English to communicate successfully with internal stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
Education & Experience: This position requires the following: • B.
S.
degree in business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-5 years manufacturing or supply chain experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office (emphasis on excel) • ERP/MRP experience; Oracle (JD Edwards) preferred • APICS, Lean/Six Sigma, ISO and other certifications beneficial What’s in it for you?
