What is the Job? We are seeking to add a Supply Chain & Logistics Director to our team in our Lexington Production Plant.
This role you will be responsible for management and performance of materials and related activities including inventory control and department cost control.
Some of your core responsibilities will include: • Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Materials & Planning Department and other areas as assigned.
•Manage all material activities at the Lexington facility, including shipping and receiving, internal control, material logistics, PDM system and planning systems.
•Supervise, train, and develop a staff necessary to carry out assigned activities and to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
•Use 6-Sigma lean tools to improve department processes, deliver continuous improvement and drive out waste.
•Use leadership skills to mentor team on lean manufacturing.
You May Have What It Takes for This Exciting Role… We are looking for a resourceful and responsible to control inventory and accuracy of perpetual inventory system.
Supervise process & IT key user to ensure accuracy of data entries and timely and complete reporting.
The candidate we’re looking for should be keen on teamwork, have great analytical skills and attention to detail.
In addition, effective communication and computer skills are necessary as is the need for fluency in speaking and writing English to communicate successfully with internal stakeholders at different levels of the organization as well as external stakeholders.
Education & Experience: This position requires the following: • Undergraduate degree in a business related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership & decision-making role.
• Minimum 5 years materials experience required in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced PC skills including Microsoft applications.

Edwards & SAP experience preferred.
