Job Title: Line Assembly Technician
Location: Jumpertown, MS
Overview:
Individual will be performing general assembly of ambulance chassis using parts and materials.
Individual must be able to use hand tools, read tape measure, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Each task will have a written step by step manual.
Heavy lifting may be involved in certain tasks.
Installation of various vehicle interior/exterior parts according to specifications and using hand tools, power tools, and production fixtures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Installation of all nonelectrical and electrical interior/exterior parts and hardware.
Bolts, screws, clips, or fasten together parts to form subassemblies, such as doors, seats, instrument control panels, steering columns, and axle units.
Fastens seats, door paneling, headliners, carpeting, molding, and other trim into position.
Assembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using pre-made templates or reading measurements.
Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

Requirements:
Ability to read and use measuring tape and other measuring devices.
Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools such as: to drills, screw gun.
Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.

Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40lbs without assistance.
Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.
Ability to work with arms above head.
Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minus specified breaks.

Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.
Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Occasionally lift up to but not exceed 75 pounds.

Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is elevated.
Experience:
One year experience in a related manufacturing environment preferred
