Lockheed Martin Space Production Operations Team is seeking an early career Manufacturing Engineer to support our Electronic Assembly & Harness Program in Courtland, AL! This role will require you to be organized with exceptional attention-to-detail.
You will collaborate with program management, our customer, manufacturing engineers, technicians, and other key essential team members supporting manufacturing.
You will be relied upon to lead the team in daily assignment tasks for missile assembly, integration and testing, and ensure all activities meet program requirements.
In this role you will be responsible for the following: - Implement manufacturing processes, procedures and equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
- Utilize computer aided manufacturing software to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
- Leverage understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
- Investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
- Integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
- Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related STEM field.
• Manufacturing experience.
Desired Skills: • Experience with AutoCAD, CREO, modeling, and/or design.
• VECAMS manufacturing work instruction experience.
• Detail oriented personality will be a plus.
• Excellent process development and documentation skills.
(MS Office) • Experienced with visual based work instructions (creating and providing feedback).
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use CAD software (Creo and AutoCAD preferred).
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Must be able to work variable shifts.
