Job Summary
Position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production team members such as machine setters, operators, assemblers, fabricators.
Position supports all production related processes including, not limited to, assembly, preparation, manufacturing, packaging, un-packaging, cutting, or any other process to transform raw materials to finished product.
Position is required to participate in continuous improvement ideas to be presented to leads and/or management.
The position is also required to have the ability to be cross-trained to perform multiple job assignments to be rotated through different assignments in the work day as needed.
Hourly Pay Range:
$18.
10 - $24.

Responsibilities
Direct the Production Team Members to ensure that day-to-day production needs are met.
Identify resource needs, as well as ensure that the production schedule is met.
Ensure a work environment exists for employees that provides effective communication between all shift team members in order to effectively communicate concerns regarding production.
Set the direction relative to manufacturing goals in order to meet production needs and expectations.
Identify and communicate information to correct Production disciplines relative to product quality and defect prevention, product disposition, as well as rework and/or repair activity.
Communicate and assist in the resolution of part shortages or the expedition of product.
Evaluate, monitor, and react to personnel allocation in the Factory, including the use of overtime in conjunction with production needs.
Monitor and prioritize aging material orders.
Work with the Production Supervisors to load all processes and shifts.
Monitor day-to-day staffing assignments.
Provide coaching, feedback and career growth guidance.
Responsible for understanding and providing input to capacity planning as customer's production demands fluctuates.
Determine and communicate the direction relative to housekeeping and safety practices.
Support of Company goals and metrics.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
Act as a role model to Production personnel and be recognized as a leader within the manufacturing site.

Requirements:
Qualifications
1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing and production environment preferred
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills required
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and dependability to meet established objectives and deadlines required
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate manner at all levels required
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates and/or Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
Minimum 6 months Tempur Sealy tenure and 3 months in current role required
