Team Leader Description of Duties Clayton Addison – Home Building Facility #944 Position Summary: The Team Leader reports to the Area Coordinator for the department.
Position efficiency is determined by the increase or reduction of overtime, turnover, retention improvement, and ability to work effectively with other members of management and fellow Team Members.
Engagement scores from yearly surveys are also considered in determining the effectiveness of the Team Leader.
Core Competencies and Job Requirements: Effective Communication Skills Company Policies and Rules Company Safety Protocols and Standards Gateway Production Management Demonstrate willingness to learn, grow, and gain understanding as a leader Knowledge or Sales Orders, Engineering Prints, Product Specifications, and applicable Building Codes Respect for fellow Team Members and management Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Engagement – Building people who build the product Properly and fairly administer company policies and procedures Develop proper relationships with Team Members to ensure productivity and Team Member Engagement Promote a Team Environment Demonstrate Fairness and consistency in all decisions Consult with TMX Department with any issues that arise Production Process Troubleshooting Consulting AC regarding problems with production Reading orders & Prints to minimize errors and ensure production is met Communicate with AC for Damaged or Defective Material Quality Assurance - Cooperate with our Quality Assurance to ensure complete compliance with DAPIA requirements Ensure New Team Members meet with QA department to begin DAPIA Training Spend time each day with New Team Members explaining DAPIA requirements Develop a culture of accountability to oneself and the team by providing guidance and assistance in problem areas Safety - Work with the EHS Manager and ISO Coordinator to administer and adhere to safety guidelines, rules, and ISO compliant processes.
Recognize unsafe conditions and communicate them to the proper departments to arrange for their correction.
Record Keeping: Provide Timely and Accurate records for Team Members and the Department Progressive Counseling Document Coaching Opportunities with Team Members Communication - Communication encompasses the ability to effectively relate information to Team Members and all areas of Management.
Lead effective Tailgate Meetings Ability to confront conflict without creating a larger issue through conflict resolution Ability to handle disagreements through thoughtful and articulate means beneficial to all parties Compensation Class Compensation for this position is Hourly and Non-Exempt.
A base and increase rate as a Team Leader will be discussed upon promotion or hire.
Other duties, responsibilities, and projects may be assigned from time to time, as needed.
Team Leaders will be expected to fill in as the contact point for the department in the absence of the Area Coordinator with the assistance of the Production Management Team.
