Job Description
Customer Service and Support:
Provides customer service and support to Hematology users of microcomputer hardware and software
Responsible for complex end user support and desktop PC maintenance, troubleshooting, updates and network connectivity
Maintains password security for authorized access to computers
Implementation/Installation:
Timely and accurately installs microcomputer hardware systems and software including upgrades and enhancements
System Analysis:
Evaluates needs of user departments and recommends hardware and software solutions
Tests new software programs and updates existing programs prior to installation
Conducts problem-solving research
Training/Education:
Plan, develop, and coordinate training programs/classes in the use of microcomputers and other peripherals (as needed)
Stays abreast of current advances/updates in technology
Reporting:
Maintains database of system changes and revisions
Regulation:
Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
Requirements:
Associates Degree in Computer Science required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in configuring, troubleshooting, installing, and maintenance of software and computer systems; required
Valid Mississippi driver’s license and good driving record; required
Operational knowledge of microcomputers and related equipment; required
Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and networking basics; required
Working knowledge of mobile device support and maintenance; required
Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills required
