*Job Description/Summary* Oliver Travel Trailers is looking for an exceptionally talented Quality Engineer that will be responsible for overseeing quality and continuous improvement functions driving waste reduction, enhanced process control, and improved efficiencies.
This position will be responsible for maintaining and improving product quality to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Improvement and oversight of the company’s QMS to assure adherence with both internal & external requirements as well as meeting operational goals will be a primary area of focus.
This individual will be based in Hohenwald, TN.
*Primary Responsibilities:* * Responsible for driving sustainable quality improvements resulting in the reduction of waste, increased efficiencies, and improved product quality.
* Champions non-compliance corrective action activities and projects to eliminate repeat occurrences.
* Identify, track, and report on quality and continuous improvement KPIs to meet business objectives and initiatives.
* Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with plant leadership to maximize product & process reliability and minimize costs.
* Develop and lead excellence in use of core quality tools and applications (8D, APQP, 5S, etc.
).
* Support regulatory compliance and optimization of quality systems/procedures relating to product complaint handling, adverse, process event reporting and product field action through development, maintenance, and improvement of documented processes.
* Generate and manage quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and forms to ensure compliance to applicable company, agency, and customer standards.
* Be a visible presence on the Shop Floor driving the Quality Culture.
* Plan and champion studies aimed at improving product quality and reliability.
* Actively engages in the continual improvement of safety and environmental initiatives for the organization.
*Required Qualifications* * Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in quality and manufacturing processes.
* Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards, systems, and processes preferred.
* Experience leading the APQP process (PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.
).
* Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Project Management experience.
* Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55,000.
00 - $60,000.
