Overview:
The maintenance supervisor will be responsible for building the team and developing all the processes necessary to create a high performing maintenance department.
Candidate should have strong leadership skills, and mechanical and electrical experience to be able to support the maintenance team.
This is a working supervisor position.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates maintenance work orders and disperses to maintenance techs.
, follows up on workorder closures.
Assists maintenance techs as needed to perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of all plant equipment including but not limited to CNC machines, manual machines, power tools, hand tools, saws, presses, lifting devices, overhead cranes, dust collectors, laser, plasma equipment, coolant systems, and compressed air systems.
(included preventative maintenance).
Assists maintenance techs as needed to repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production machinery.
Orders parts needed for machinery to ensure machinery is running.
Assists maintenance techs as needed to perform scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned machines to provide increased machine up-time.
Assists maintenance techs as needed to assist NC Programmer on major CNC control problems.
Assists maintenance techs as needed to perform accuracy verifications on critical machinery to ensure machines are capable of producing parts to required specifications.
Responsible for monitoring time and attendance, PTO.
Responsible for completing performance appraisals.
Performs all duties in a safe manner.
Practices good housekeeping in work area.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment, or a two-year associate degree in technology plus 5 years of experience.
3 -5 years supervisory experience in the maintenance field required.
Professional Electrical Experience.
Experience in the following core areas: hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, PLC logic, CNC, and pneumatics.
Experience with Allen Bradly RS500/RS5000, GE Series 9030, Koyo (Direct Soft 32), Eaton.
Must have a strong familiarity and knowledge of metal fabrication equipment and processes, to include operation of presses, shears, welding units and overhead cranes and hoisting systems.
Must have ability to comprehend complex internal documents such as bills of materials, blueprints, machine schematics, PLC logic diagrams, electrical diagrams, and work orders.
Must have experience using electric, pneumatic, hand tools and forklifts.
Experience using pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments.
Must have demonstrated ability to rely upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.
