*Basic Responsibilities*
Reporting to and under the direction of the Machining Manager, this hourly position is responsible for:
* Interpret Technical Drawings and use knowledge to set up metalworking processes, work holding fixtures, process steps, equipment, and tooling selection.
* Efficiently write programs on 5-axis, 4-Axis, and 3-Axis Milling Machines, generating set-up sheets for personnel to prepare for the job.
* Setup and prove out processes with Operators on CNC machines.
* Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed for machine workpieces, which proves development.
* Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues, fixtures, machines, tooling, etc.
* Work with Engineering, Production, and Quality Departments to ensure smooth process flow.
* Set-up and Operation of 5, 4, and 3 axis mills.
* Perform special assignments and other related tasks as required.
*Requirements and Qualifications*
* The minimum education level required is Grade 12 or equivalent.
* CNC programming: 5 years (Preferred).
* Machining: 7 years (Preferred).
* *WorkNC *and *PowerMill* experience is considered an asset.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis in CNC, lathes, and mills.
* Able to make independent, technical, and tactical decisions with a high attentiveness to detail.
* Extensive knowledge of machining best practices.
* Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others.
* Ability to communicate and work independently, as well as within a team environment.
* Excellent work attendance.
