Maintenance Technician Assistant

Wedlake Industries is now under new ownership.
We are looking for individuals to join our team who are looking to grow with the company as we enter this new chapter.
*Job Responsibilities:* * Assist maintenance supervisor in performing preventative maintenance and repairing malfunctioning manufacturing equipment * Performs facilities maintenance * Ensure compliance with all safety procedures including but not limited to personal protective equipment and lockout/tagout.
* Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to performing other job classifications as necessitated by production schedule and other operating needs.
*Qualifications:* * Must be dependable, on time, and ready to work.
Reliable and honest.
* 2-3 years experience in an industrial setting involved in machine upkeep and preventative maintenance or equivalent school/training.
* Knowledge of use of hand tools, shop tools (such as drills, grinders, saws) and other power tools.
* Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen test and background check.
We would also look for this individual to take direction well and be willing to learn.
Takes pride in the quality of work performed and works well with minimal supervision.
Be respectful of co-workers, work safely at all times, and not be afraid to say when they do not know something when faced with a situation that is beyond their experience.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.
