*Aircraft Quality Control Supervisor- 2024-26* *Muscle Shoals, AL* PROJECTXYZ, headquartered in Huntsville, AL, has exciting Aviation opportunities in Muscle Shoals Alabama for qualified staff.
*Purpose of Position:* The Aircraft Quality Control Supervisor plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft Technical Inspectors daily in the performance of their duties.
Provides technical advice and assists customers on operational, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repair of components and systems.
Responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained within required specifications and are airworthy before operation.
Inspects repairs and modification of aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.
This role is full time in Muscles Shoals Alabama Northwest Regional Airport supporting the installation of (CH-47/UH-60) Maintenance Work Order (MWO) programs.
*Duties and Responsibilities (Essential):* * Plans, conducts, and supervises aircraft technical inspections.
* Develops and implements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
* Evaluates personnel, including verification of skills, training, and experience.
* Performs audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
* Examines parts and components for conformance to design specification to determine serviceability; serviceable, unserviceable-reparable, unserviceable-non reparable, affixing completed appropriate form/tag for disposition; return to stock, route to appropriate shop for repair and/or turn-in.
Form/tag will contain comments relative to evaluation and stamped by the Inspector.
* Monitors timeliness and applicability of maintenance technical data and technical library.
* Reviews maintenance source documents, inspection records, notes recurring discrepancies, or trends and initiates appropriate action.
* Manages the material deficiency and technical order improvement program.
* Reviews engineering investigation requests.
* Initiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports, ensuring that they are accurate, clear, concise, and comprehensive.
* Conducts safety inspections, training, and drills.
Inspects and verifies proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies.
* Briefs and debriefs pilots and crew members assigned to functional check flights.
* Ensures compliance with aircraft configuration control, Army oil analysis Program (AOP) and test measuring diagnostic equipment (TMDE) calibration.
* Provides lower-level technicians and inspectors guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures according to directives, technical manuals, work standards and operational policies throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
* Prepares evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance repair and related activities.
* Make entries in aircraft logs and records.
* Perform other qualified duties as requested.
* Performs scheduled and unscheduled.
* When required can use laser detection, special test set, and equipment for job duties.
* When required can use Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) for job duties.
* Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
*Qualifications: * · Active Security Clearance – Secret or higher · High School Graduate or GED · Documented training (by validation of qualifying factors to include documented prior military experience and training) on the MDS H60 series.
· Ten (10) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
· Minimum five (5) years’ experience as an aircraft inspector.
· Knowledge of military publications including electronic logbooks, manuals, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams, and schematics is mandatory.
· Valid driver’s license required.
*Desirable:* · Bachelor’s degree.
· FAA A&P license.
Must be current and documented.
· A valid (current) FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
• Knowledge of equipment related to individual requirements • Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work specifications is a plus.
• Computer experience with STAMIS.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:* · Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems or other technology applicable to fabrication, repair, operation, and maintenance requirements.
· Efficient in record keeping and preparation of reports; capable of reviewing other people's work and determining accuracy and conformity to standards.
· Proficient in the use of the Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation Enhanced (ULLS-AE), the current maintenance management system utilized to maintain Army aircraft forms and records.
· Thorough comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
· Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
· A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc.

· Ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers.
Excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
*Physical Factors: * · Must climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
· Must operate manual tools and power tools.
· Color Vision · Hearing · Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
· The work environment is predominately hangar/warehouse.
· Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing · Occasionally lifts/moves up to 50 pounds.
· Most heavy lifting is accomplished using mechanical devices.
· The work area is primarily aircraft areas, hangars, workshops, and other industrial settings.
