*Job Description:*
The Industrial Electrician will be part of our Maintenance team, he or she will get training for 1st shift and will transition to 2nd shift.
This position is dedicated to getting the job done right the first time and promotes a safe work environment focused on overall continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing.
This skilled Electrician will be supporting a sheet metal production environment.
Strong with PLC experience, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and good communication skills.
The position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and interfaces frequently with all other departments including Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Human Resources.
The Industrial Electrician must demonstrate and support IHP Core Values.
Role and Responsibilities
* To be prepared to work in hazardous areas taking all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment.
* Actively participate in the operation and control of engineering planned maintenance schemes.
* Undertake emergency cover on site, providing cover for all building services to ensure that emergency repairs occurring out of normal working hours are attended to.
* Carry Trust communication devices (e.
g.
Pagers and/or Two-way radios) to always facilitate immediate response to emergencies.
* Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of Trust maintenance management team.
* Liaise with the Trust maintenance management team regarding services, plant, and equipment failures.
* Undertake fault-finding on all Building Services, critical systems, and equipment.
Using cause effect analyses and detailed examination to gain a solution.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* Follow directions/instructions PLC experience, preferred.
* Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
* Good communication skills and attention to detail.
* A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations preferred.
* Years’ Experience: 2-3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
*Physical and Environmental Requirements*
* Plant is not air conditioned and employee must be physically able to work in high temperatures in the summer months.
* Personal protective equipment- all employees are required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection and sleeve protectors.
* Lift 25 up to 50 pounds.
* Stand for long periods at a time.
