The Quality Control Field Inspector will work cross-functionally, supporting the operation inspection process in an accurate and timely manner.
They will assist in the quality control process to assure maximum quality and to verify compliance with established standard practices.
This role will be supportive, helping to identify & prevent further production of nonconforming products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts routine process and product reviews to ensure the conformance of process or product with established processes, procedures, standards, and specifications
Monitor in process inspections in the manufacturing area, implementing proper documentation practices, applicable visual inspections, and maintaining data log
Properly identifies raw material and performs quality checks, or when instructed by QA management and/or per provided written instructions
Maintain QC line visual inspections.
Able to work independently with little supervision.
Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and ability to read and understand SOP's.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail is critical.
Provides feedback to work with management teams from their internal customers and communicate the level of severity
Strong understanding of raw materials and the manufacturing industry is needed
Review product label data to ensure product, SKU number, production dates and all components are correct, and placed on each product
Identify and inform applicable departments in the event of a potential or observed nonconformance
Proven history of understanding industry safety standards and quality expectations
Sense of urgency to perform tasks to timelines
Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment while performing assigned tasks in a safe manner
Support the quality assurance process and procedures in multiple locations
Essential Requirements
High School Diploma Required
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality Control/Assurance, operations, or a related field
Basic computer skills
Documentation/Reporting skills
Valid Driver's License
Requires travel to different manufacturing locations throughout Northeast Mississippi
