JOB TITLE: Production Employee – Upholstery

SUMMARY: The Production employee – Upholstery may work in various positions on production line to attach fabric to frames for various types of upholstered furniture.
Essential Functions:
Inspect raw materials prior to performing operations to ensure proper quality standards and alert the supervisor to any substandard raw materials or prior operations
Use staple guns, scissors, air drivers, hammers, mallets, or other tools to attach covers, mechanisms, and springs to frame parts according to specifications to achieve high quality appearance and comfort
Assist with training other Upholsterers
Maintain 100% efficiency with tasks assigned and ensure production schedule is being met
Work closely with other employees on the line to maintain a close team dynamic daily
Adhere to all safety guidelines and keep work area in a clean and organized
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
At least two years' production line experience in a related industry preferred
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous experience in a similar role and related industry

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing industrial setting.
The employee may be exposed to both indoors and outdoors.
Light to Moderate exposure to sun, dirt, dust, pollen, odors, biological hazards, temperature and noise extremes, hazardous materials and chemicals, machinery, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and electric currents.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work long hours as business needs require.
Shifts are typically 8 hours (7am-3:45pm) but may be modified depending on production and staffing needs.

No travel is expected for this position.
