*Primary responsibilities for the Production Supervisor include but not limited to:*
* Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of production members engaged in the manufacturing of products
* Plans and assigns work
* Implements policies and procedures
* Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
* Ensures compliance with all safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
*Essential Duties but not limited to:*
* Ensures effective member relations on a daily basis
* Provides member coaching and development
* Makes employment decisions
* Resolves member concerns through problem resolutions
* Ensures that company policies, procedures, rules are followed
* Responsible for processes, equipment, members, safety and housekeeping in the production area
* Meeting production and quality standards on a daily basis
* Balances quality, safety, productivity, cost and moral to achieve positive results
* Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department
* Supports continuous improvement activities within team through active participation and direction
* Manages team performance measures and provides regular reports to manager
* Performs thorough accident investigations
* Maintains the member timekeeping system
* Ensure that members receive appropriate and adequate training and development
* Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment and assists members in resolving work problems.
* Counsels, records and applies appropriate discipline as necessary
* Develops team leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of the receiving members
* Other duties as assigned

* Demonstrates ability to lead people and get results through others
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Must have the ability to interact and understand people
* Good knowledge of the Toyota Production System
* Good working knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes and materials
_*EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE*_
* High school diploma required
* 2-3 years plant floor experience desired
