We're looking for a few TIG welders to produce high quality stainless steel products.
The Welder welds products according to engineer drawings, in a timely manner, consistent with all quality requirements and safety precautions.
*Responsibilities:*
· Production of parts according to work order instructions, engineering drawings, and supervisor instruction.
· Ability to clock into and out of each job using computer terminals.
· Ability to read work order instructions and carry out directions as necessary.
· Inspect and verify parts based on engineering drawings.
· Welder must be fluent in welding machinery operation and basic welding techniques.
· Welder must be familiar with engineering drawings.
· Familiarity with using jigs and fixtures.
· Work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking where necessary.
· Communicate with supervisor regarding issues associated with welding, fabrication, and equipment, as well as defects in any part(s).
· Identify areas for process improvement, cost and waste reduction.
· Daily and periodic maintenance of equipment.
· Keep work area clean.
This includes sweeping floors, emptying garbage containers, properly sorting and storing parts in factory locations.

Employee may perform other duties as required by supervisor in order to meet the ongoing needs of Blickman.
Some of these duties include:
· Cleaning and servicing of miscellaneous equipment (grinders, tumbler, shear, drill presses, etc.
)
· Assisting other department personnel as needed for duties such as lifting heavy sheets, etc.
· Any other duties as instructed by supervisor or plant manager.
*Requirements*
· Operator should be able to sufficiently speak, read, and write English with a legible penmanship.
· Have a working knowledge of different metals and sheet gauges and be able to identify different types of sheet metal.
· Ability to lift fifty pounds and understand proper lifting techniques.
· Ability to properly and consistently communicate with supervisor.
· Must be able to work independently as well as with a team.
· Mathematical and mechanical aptitude including the use of a tape measure, Vernier calipers, various squares, a protractor, etc.
· Attention to detail and commitment to quality, with the ability to identify any defects by inspecting parts and comparing them to engineering drawings.
· Full understanding of print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part.

Pay: $20.
