Supply Chain Director

Job Title: Supply Chain Director Overview: The Supply Chain director for our large truck manufacturing company handles the overall supply chain operations.
This role involves managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier relationships to ensure a seamless and efficient flow of materials to support manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities: 1.
Planning: · Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
· Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate supply chain plans with broader business strategies.

Procurement and Sourcing: · Leads procurement initiatives, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
· Ensure the selection of reliable and cost-effective suppliers, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
3.
Logistics Management: · Oversee transportation, distribution, and logistics operations to optimize efficiency and reduce lead times in the supply chain.
· Develop and implement transportation strategies to minimize costs and enhance delivery performance.
4.
Inventory Optimization: · Establish and maintain effective inventory management processes to support production schedules while minimizing carrying costs.
· Implement inventory control systems and strategies to ensure accurate and timely stock levels.

Supplier Relationship Management: · Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring a secure supply chain.
· Evaluate supplier performance and implement strategies for improvement.

Risk Management: · Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.

Qualifications: 1.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Master's degree is preferred.

Proven experience (5-10 years) in supply chain leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing or heavy equipment industries.

Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with a demonstrated ability to align supply chain initiatives with overall business goals.

Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
