JOB TITLE: Shipping/Warehouse Lead

SUMMARY: The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for the receiving and shipping of all products in and out of the facility and working with team members to ensure that all product is received and inspected for accuracy against receiving paperwork and stocked per company’s established procedures; and ensures that all orders are pulled, packed and shipped according to customer requests and in a timely cost-efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
Receives and inspects all inbound shipments to ensure accuracy.
Processes all outbound shipments including but not limited to pulling, sorting, logging, packing, and shipping.
Audits each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match order.
Ensures that all shipments are packed and labeled based on established standards.
Ensures that proper equipment, manuals, and accessories are shipped with each order as needed.
Audits, maintains, and prepares all receiving/shipping documentation; maintains orderly files for all documentation.
Assists in maintaining product inventory levels.
Assists in responses to requests for tracing of missing shipments.
Assists in maintaining safety and housekeeping standards in receiving/shipping area.
Works with Supervisors and Managers to address any personnel issues within team
Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with furniture shipping and receiving practices and handling methods.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
2+ years of related shipping/receiving experience with previous lead experience preferred
Valid CDL preferred but not required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position supervises additional team members as needed and in the absence of Warehouse Manager
Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse environment and team members may be regularly exposed to hot or cold temperatures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms as well as frequently required to lift/push/carry items more than 50 pounds and frequent use of hand trucks or dollies.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position requiring the ability to work long hours as business needs require.
Shifts are typically 8 hours (7am-3:45pm) but may be modified depending on production and staffing needs.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
