Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team.
As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
Your role will involve implementing age-appropriate curriculum, providing individualized care, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of children - Provide a safe and supportive environment where children can explore and learn - Create a daily schedule that includes a balance of structured activities, free play, outdoor time, meals, and rest periods - Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or updates - Monitor and supervise children at all times to ensure their safety - Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues - Use effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and resolve conflicts - Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each child, including those with special needs or learning disabilities - Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper sanitation procedures and emergency protocols Qualifications: - Previous experience working with children in a daycare setting or similar environment - Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods - Familiarity with behavior management techniques - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team - Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) - High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred) Skills: - Classroom management - Nannying experience - Experience working with children of various ages (infants, toddlers, preschoolers) - Knowledge of childhood development stages - Ability to provide age-appropriate care and education - Behavior management techniques - Understanding of special education principles and practices We offer competitive pay and benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
