#WhatConnectsYou Job Description Patient Care/Transport: Assist with direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or other medical provider Take patients vital signs, assist with daily activities, administer medication, attend to patient needs Assess the transportation needs of the patient (wheelchair, lifting assistance, etc.
) Assists patient with sign-in process Directs ambulatory patients/family members to appropriate location within Cancer Center Communication: Greets patient/family members in a courteous and helpful manner Effectively communicates with staff members Recordkeeping/Reports: Observe patients’ condition and reports any changes in condition to the Registered Nurse/medical provider for further assessment Documents patient interaction as needed Education: Maintain continuing educations requirements Stock: Assist with transporting supplies and restocking Regulatory: Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal procedures/guidelines/regulations Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; required Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Mississippi; highly desirable Good interpersonal skills; required Must be service oriented; required Interaction with a patient population of all ages ranging from neonates to geriatrics, required Requirements No additional requirements from any stated in the above description.
