Job Description
Basic Requirements:
Ensures timely, safe food service to customers, plates and serve foods, and stocking of foods.
Washing dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and rack dishes.
Cleans and sanitizes equipment and the facilities.
Maintains the physical area efficiently and effectively.
Including the cleaning and sanitation of all areas.
Responsible for maintaining, cleaning and stocking all food service areas.
Maintains the physical area efficiently and effectively.
Including the cleaning and sanitation of all areas.
Responsible for knowing their areas’ menu, service standards and procedures.
Interacts with internal and external customers effectively and works to meet and exceed their expectations.
Demonstrates adherence to NMHS’ Mission, Vision and Values Statement & to Service Excellence Standards and serves as a role model to staff.
Communications:
Assists in effective communication throughout the department.
Strives to meet our all internal and external customer’s needs and expectations.
Must be polite and respond appropriately with all internal & external customers.
Budget:
Assists in helping management meet budget.
Must use food and supplies wisely.
Uses their time wisely and adheres to the lunch and break schedule.
Safe Food Handling & Sanitation:
Follows proper food safety procedures and properly documents required monitors.
Actively participates in FNS’s HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) Program.
Cleans & sanitizes of all areas to meet the State Board of Health Standards.
Assists in the keeping assigned HACCP monitors and all other departmental documents.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred
Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally.
Ability to follow oral instructions.
Prior food service experience preferred.
Ability to be able to read and write English is desirable.
